My Story
Hi! I'm Sami Ichrist (Eye-Chryst). Thanks for stopping in!
A little about me and my art journey...
I’ve made art since my childhood, and have had a lifelong dream of becoming a full-time artist. Though I had great corporate positions over the years with good pay, my passion was always art. Once I became a follower of Christ, I discovered that my talent was actually from Him and His will for me was to spread His love and beauty through my art. This fueled my art passion even more! Over the past several years I began pursuing my dream through much prayer, investing in art mentors, binging on artist YouTube channels, and recently by the hand of God leaving the corporate world. I have now transitioned from an ENT (Every Now & Then) artist to a fulltime artist and art student along with assisting my pastor husband build a church. I am currently enrolled in an art mastery online program, as well as an online art mentoring program to seriously pursue developing my art and art business.
Why do I share this on my site? Because in addition to being passionate about art, I also want to encourage and inspire other artists to not give up on their art dreams! After hearing many stories about artist stepping into what they believed was impossible has suddenly happened for me. Therefore, my art journey is a ministry of encouragement and inspiration to artists who also ache to do art fulltime but are not yet able to make the transition or are struggling to believe that it can happen for them. If this is your desire, it absolutely can happen for you, too! Passion, hard work and faith make the difference!
Everyone loves a good story, and my hope is that you will come along and see this story unfold. Perhaps you'll take the next step and pursue an art business with the talent you already possess or discover that you can develop art skills for the very first time. If you have any aspiration at all of doing art, whether for vocation or just pure enjoyment, my prayer is that you will take a leap of faith and do it!

My Work:
I am a painter working in acrylic, oil, mixed-media, and watercolor. I love to explore vibrant and interesting color palettes, texture and designs. I love abstraction, but I'm currently in a season of exploring many styles in several mediums.
